1. I have something I want AuctionDynamics to sell for me
on eBay. What should I do now?
Search eBay listings for
items similar to yours. This will give you an idea of your item's popularity and how much
it should bring at auction.
Complete our online Sell Request form.
We will review your sell
request and and contact you with our decision by email. If your item is accepted, we will
send you a ship-to address.
Next, ship your item to
the address we provided. We recommend that you insure your shipment and request delivery
confirmation. This confirmation will serve as proof that we have your item. We will also
verify that we have received your shipment and advise if any damage was done during
shipment.
When your item is listed
on eBay, we will send you the eBay Item Number with a link to the listing.
2.
Why is a setup fee applied to some items?
We require a setup fee ONLY
when your item is listed with a reserve price, a buy now price, or a minimum starting bid
of more than $1.00. If the item sells, the setup fee is refunded.
We apply a setup fee to
cover labor costs and insertion fees. An item is more likely to sell if listed without a
reserve price, buy now price, or a higher starting bid. Items sold on eBay, that are
professionally listed, usually sell for a reasonable market value. However, if you want to
be absolutely certain that your item doesn't sell for less than you are willing to accept,
you should specify a reserve price.
Setup fee is not refunded if
your item doesn't sell. You have the option of relisting without reserve price, etc., at
no additional charge.
3.
What if my item doesn't sell?
In the unlikely event that
your item doesn't sell, we will return the item to you (you must pay shipping
charges), or donate it to charity in your name. If donated to charity, we will send you a
receipt. You may then deduct the donation on your income tax return.
4.
When my item sells, are my shipping costs refunded?
Sorry, but we cannot refund
your shipping costs. Your shipping costs must be recovered from your sales amount.
5.
How and when does AuctionDynamics pay me?
How: We prefer to use PayPal
transfer. You will need to open a free personal PayPal account for this to happen. If you
don't want to open a PayPal account we will pay you by check.
When: Payment will be issued
after we have received confirmed payment from the Buyer. This usually happens within 10
days after auction closes. Sometimes the high bidder defaults and we will have to list the
item again. We will notify you of any problems encountered.
6.
Why doesn't Auction Dynamics have drop off stores?
Drop off stores are
expensive. The cost of maintaining drop off locations would require that we charge much
higher consignment fees.
Your costs in shipping your
sale items to us via UPS or USPS are normally considerablly less than the additional costs
that would have to be passed on to you if we maintained drop off locations.
Prove it to yourself.
Compare our fees + shipping costs to the fees charged by other auction consignment
services that maintain drop off locations in your area. Your total cost should be less.
